Firmware for the A95X MAX android TV is now available for download. Powering this android TV is an Amlogic processor so installing the firmware is pretty much straight forward.
Download the A95X MAX firmware from here and store it somewhere on your computer. Make sure you are using a windows computer as all flashing tools used in this tutorial are compatible with windows operating system only.
For installing the A95X MAX android firmware, you would also require an SD card. After that, get hold of this Burn Card maker program to create flashable firmware for A95X MAX android TV. Open its menu and select second option to switch to English, unless you can read Chinese.
Keeping your SD card inserted in PC, tick “to partition and format” and then click on Open and browse for the IMG file that you downloaded earlier. Follow the instructions on screen and it will soon start putting the firmware onto the SD card.
Now, with the A95X MAX turned off and power cable disconnected, put the SD card in. Press flash mode button and connect it to power cable. Update window will pop up automatically and this process will take 4-12 minutes.
A95X MAX specifications include Amlogic processor, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 32 / 64GB of eMMc storage memory and a bay for 2.5-inch SATA storage drives up to 2TB. At the level of wireless connectivity we find Wifi AC Dual Band 2T2R and Bluetooth 4.2. The included connectors are three USB 3.0, a USB 2.0, analog AV output, a Gigabit Ethernet connector, SPDIF digital audio output and an HDMI 2.1 video interface with support 4K @ 75fps.
