In this post, we will tell how to flash a new firmware on to the M8C android TV box. The M8C is powered by Amlogic S812 processor backed by 1GB RAM and 8 gigabytes of flash storage. The android TV runs android 4.4 kitkat operating system. It currently retails for 49 euro including shipping.
Download the firmware from here. Also download the Amlogic Boot card marker from here. You will need a micro SD card to flash it. Execute the app on the computer and browse the u-boot.bin file that you downloaded earlier. Click on the Make button to start the process.
Now that the micro SD card is prepared, copy all the files to the card. Make sure all files are there at the root of the card. Now it is time to put the card into the M8C android TV box. Press the recovery button located insside the A / V connector. If everything works well, you will a percentage bar on the screen. It will automatically restart once it reaches 100 percent.
