Toshiba has finally rolled out their first honeycomb (Android 3.0) tablet, Toshiba AT300, at least in Japan. This is the same tablet that was spotted over at NewEgg as “Toshiba Ant”. It comes with an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor (just like Tmobile G2x smartphone) and full 1 GB of RAM. It has full size USB 2.0 port and mini USB ports. It has an HDMI output port as well to let you connect to HDTVs or bigger monitors and we have just been informed that it will also integrate with Toshiba’s other Regza products (TVs and Toshiba’s Blu-ray players). It is set to released in Japan for about 700 dollars.
Clearly, to make AT300 a success in the US, Toshiba must launch it with a price tag of somewhere around 450 to 550 dollars. If they launch it with a price tag similar to Motorola Xoom, it would be an epic fail. [via netbook reviews]
