Cube Air i6 3G has arrived just in time for Chinese new year and it packs really amazing specifications. The Cube Air i6 3G packs 9.7 inch display and it is capable of dual booting between windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 operating systems just like Vido W8C tablet.
Cube Air i6 3G specifications include quad core Intel Atom Z3735F 64 bit processor, 2 gigabytes of memory, 32GB eMMC storage, 802.11n Wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 2G / 3G radios.
The display of Cube Air i6 3G is very interesting packing 9.7 inch retina IPS panel with IGZO technology with resolution 2048 x 1536 pixels that is accompanied by myriad light sensors and proximity. The battery size is 8000 mAh which promises stellar runtimes.
Vido W8C is a tablet PC runs both Windows and Android operating system. The below given pictures shows that the tablet dual boots. Also you can switch to other operating system while running a particular OS, thanks to the system called Insyde. Vido will be keeping the price low by using W8 with Bing that costs way less than full blown version of Windows.
It features Intel Atom Z3735F processor backed by 2 gigabytes of DDR3L memory and 32GB of internal flash eMMC storage. The screen has resolution of 1200 x 800 pixel and features IPS technology and viewing angle of 178 degrees.
The Vido W8C offers micro HDMI 1.4a video output port capable of outputting full HD resolution, micro USB OTG connector and SD card slot. The two operating systems included are Windows 8.1 with Bing and Android 4.4.4 kitkat.
AMLogic has released Android 5.0 lollipop for its latest processors including AMLogic S802, S805 and S812. It is nice to see AMLogic releasing latest SDK to its Android PCs and tablet processors. Also with the release of Android 5, the company has extended the life of its SoC units.
This new release brings a new graphical environment, improved notifications system and multi-user management with optional guest account. We do not have any information if the new SDK will bring Google TV integration to their hardware.

Open ELEC is a small Linux distribution that turns your computer into a TV Box. We now have the instructions on how to install Open ELEC on the Beelink MXQ TV Box. It shall be noted that Bluetooth does not work and Wi-Fi service must be activated by hand after the configurator, from System-> OpenELEC. Again this is a development version and some things may not work properly.
Format a Micro SD card to Fat32
Download this file OpenELEC MXQ
Unzip the downloaded file in the micro SD card.
Insert the Micro SD card into the TVBox OFF.
Insert a toothpick or similar (no cash) in the AV connection of the box to notice the switch.
Press the switch with stick and hold
Turning the TV Box
Stop pushing and remove the stick when we see an image on the screen
Wait until the process ends.
