Xtremer Wonder is the newest device to join the growing Android TV box family. The Xtremer Wonder specifications include a very powerful Quad Core Amlogic S812-H SoC that has H.265 decoding capability. Other specifications include Mali 450mp8 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of eMMC storage memory, WiFi b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0.

As far as connectivity options go, Xtremer Wonder comes with plenty of them. You get three USB 2.0 ports, 10/100 connector, HDMI 1.4 port, SPDIF A / V digital audio output port and finally, a micro SD card reader.

Xtremer Wonder runs Android 4.4 kitkat operating system and comes preloaded with lots of applications for doing streaming on your TV. Supported video streaming codecs include AVI, RM, RMVB, MKV, WMV, MOV, MP4, WEBM, DAT (VCD format), VOB (DVD format), MPEG, MPG, FLV, ASF, TS, TP and 3GP.

PowerVR has launched a new GPU in the market. Called the PowerVR GT7900, it features 512 cores ALU, 16 shaders capable of reaching 800 gigaflops under 32 bit floating point mode and 1.6 teraflops under 16-bit floating point mode. This makes it more powerful than the recently released Nvidia Tegra X1 GPU.

PowerVR GT7900 has more than enough power that it can be used in future consoles, micro servers and even laptops running Android. And since the PowerVR GT7900 will be produced only with 14 and 16 nm manufacturing process, it can be used in fanless laptops.

PowerVR GT7900 also supports playback of 4k resolution at 60 FPS.

Developer at Kodi are still very much active and today they have released beta 1 of Kodi 14.2 Helix. It is already available online for download.
