Firmware update for the Geniatech ATV585, ATV485, ATV225 and ATV18 android TVs are now available.

All of these android TVs are powered by Amlogic S805 which is apparently the most popular TV chipset around.

To perform firmware update of it, download the firmware from here and copy the file to a USB stick, run the app update, select local update and use the downloaded file. The process is automatic and it restarts the TV-Box.

1. Download the firmware and copy the file with extension “img” to a USB memory stick.
2. With the TV-Box off, connect the USB memory stick and while keeping the reset button pressed, turn on the TV-Box.
3. The display will show update information.
It will take about three minutes to complete the update. The TV-Box will automatically reboot while the process completed.
