Android 8.1 Oreo firmware is available for the MX10 Android TV box. Download the Android 8.1 Oreo firmware from here. This is the direct link so download it on your computer. Unrar it.
Then download and install Rockchip tool on your PC. Make sure you are running Windows 7, 8 or 10 on your computer. Also, you’ll need a micro SD card and reader. Format the micro SD in FAT 32.
Fire up the Rockchip tool with administrative rights and browse for the IMG file by clicking on Firmware button.
In program, make sure to activate SD Boot option in program menu. Click on Restore button. This will flash firmware onto the micro SD card.
With the MX10 android TV turned off, insert micro SD card. While keeping reset button pressed, connect the TV box to start it. This will trigger the update process. Once it is completed, remove the micro SD card.
