Samsung has released a bigger version of Galaxy Alpha and it is called the Galaxy A7. It is a bigger brother to the previously announced Galaxy A5 and A3 and has similar thin, minimal design and metal bezel and frame. Of course since it is bigger, it is a direct challenger to company’s own Note 4 as it also packs 5.5 inch display.
Galaxy A7 specs
You get 1.8GHz octa-core processor on the standard model and a slightly slower 1.5GHz octa-core on the dual-SIM version. Specifications include 5.5” display, 16 gigabytes of flash storage, Micro SD card slot, 2GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel rear camera + 5MP front-facing webcam with Samsung’s standard wide-angle lens, and a 2600mAh battery.
It will be offered in black, white, and gold. The battery is non removable and so is the SIM slot and micro SD card slot. To access the slots, you must use a SIM card tool. Samsung did not tell us its price but we have been told that it will be priced very competitively – just like A5 and A3. Its release date was not mentioned.
