We have just come to know that the HTC Flyer will start shipping in Europe on May 9th (2011). This 420 grams tablet sports a 7-inch display packing a very netbook like resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. There are lot of things not to like about this tablet (compared to Xoom). First is the stylus based system and then the fact that it will be shipped with Android 2.3 operating system which is not at all optimized for tablets.
Fortunately, we do know that it will be given HoneyComb treatment later this year.
We have also come to know that it will be making its debut at an unreal price tag of 600 pounds in UK. This is certainly not the way to make an entry into the murky world of Android tablets. Is it?
