This is the latest firmware for the MX9 Pro android TV box that brings latest android 7.1 operating system. This android TV features Rockchip RK3328 Quad Core processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of eMMc storage memory, Bluetooth 4.0 and dual band Wi-Fi with external antenna. In terms of connectivity, it has a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, a micro USB OTG, 10/100 network connector, SPDIF output, HDMI 2.0 port and analog A / V output. Download the firmware of MX9 PRO from here (direct link) and store it on your PC.
Then download Rockchip create upgrade disk tool v1.4 http://uploaded.net/file/8cuxf06y
Make sure you are running a PC with Windows 7, 8 or 10 installed and have MicroSD or SD card reader. You would need an
Unzip the Rockchip Create Upgrade file
Locate the firmware file in *.img form. If it is zipped, unzip it.
We start the Rockchip Create Upgrade program as the ADMINISTRATOR (right click on ” SD_Firmware_Tool.exe “)
In the program we select:
– Unit where we have the SD card connected
– Activate the SD BOOT option in the program menu
– Browse for the IMG file
Press the RESTORE button and the process of creating the SD card will start, it may take several minutes.
With the TV-Box turned off we insert the SD card.
We leave the reset button pressed and without releasing it, we connect the TV-Box to the power to start it.
Automatically the update process will start. Wait for several minutes for the flashing process to complete.
We remove the SD card.
We recommend doing a factory reset after upgrade. Settings> Backup> Reset.
