LibreELEC 11 is now available for download for the Android TV boxes. This variant, LibreELEC 11, is based on KODI 20 Nexus. The new LibreELEC (Nexus) 11.0 offers us performance improvements, better codec compatibility and system updates imported from KODI. It should be noted that compatibility with old Amlogic S905, S905X/D, S912 processors returns , something that many users requested with these TV-Boxes.
With the new release cycle we added a Generic-Legacy image that supports nVidia cards, the Chrome Browser plugin, and older hardware. We also reintroduced support for older Amlogic devices S905, S905X/D, S912. If you use them be sure to read the following paragraphs.
Installations of LibreELEC 10.0 will not update automatically, but you can do it manually. Old installations of LibreELEC should do a clean install due to Python 3 changes since Kodi v19.
The USB SD creator is available only for Windows so you have Mac installed, we suggest side loading Windows or getting a windows computer. Same goes for Linux OS.
Supported hardware includes Rockchip processors, Amlogic, NXP, Allwinner, Raspberry Pi and Generic.
