Samsung has made an announcement on their company’s blog that it has started making world’s first 8 gigabyte LPDDR4 mobile DRAM. This new type of memory will be made using Samsung’s new 20 nm technology.
The new chips not only offer more RAM capacity but also improve input – output rate of up to 3200 Mbps. This will allow users to do even better continuous video recording at UHD resolutions, shooting of high resolution pictures exceeding 20 mega pixel in size.
These chips will also consume a lot less energy. In fact the company claims up to 40 percent improvement in battery life. There is a good chance that we will see a 4GB Samsung Android phone in 2015.
