Motorola has unveiled XPRT, a Blackberry style android phone targeted at the business users. This handset, which is set to be released in June is nothing but a rebranded Droid Pro. In fact, even the specs have not undergone any sort of change. It comes with a front facing QWERTY keyboard located beneath the 3.1 inch display.
AT&T will be making the Samsung Infuse 4G Android phone available in the market for a list price of 200 dollars. This giant 4.5 inch phone packs a 1.2 GHz processor and sports the new TouchWiz interface that does not sucks that much. Of course, to get one, you will have to enroll yourself in a two year contract as well.
Samsung UK has announced that the Galaxy S 2 will be made available for purchase on May 1 (2011) from all major carriers. This Android phone runs Android 2.3 operating system and comes with the Samsung’s TouchWiz UI instead of default UI.
We have just come to know that the HTC Flyer will start shipping in Europe on May 9th (2011). This 420 grams tablet sports a 7-inch display packing a very netbook like resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. There are lot of things not to like about this tablet (compared to Xoom). First is the stylus based system and then the fact that it will be shipped with Android 2.3 operating system which is not at all optimized for tablets.
It has been quite a while since Virgin Mobile announced that they will soon be releasing Android 2.2 for the Samsung Intercept Google Android smartphone. Well, we have just been told that the Google Froyo (Android 2.2) update will be bestowed to the Intercept users on April 11 (2011). We have been told that many Intercept users have already been receiving messages about the software upgrade.
