Probox2 Air Plus Android TV firmware update is available for download. This is the latest android firmware update and that brings numerous improvements over the old stock version. For instance, this new firmware update for the Probox 2 will help you get rid of the google play error that pops up everytime you boot it up.

Other enhancements include:

1. Fixed “Return” button of Remote+ cannot use for Kodi 17.
2. Fixed Microphone of Remote+ cannot be enabled occasionally.
3. Fixed “Unfortunately, Probox2 EX Launcher has stopped” message always display once time after some app(s) installation.

Download the update from here – this is the direct link so make sure you downloading it using your computer. Unzip the files to the root of a microSD card. Fire up the UPDATE app in Local update mode, select the USB file and press Confirm. Turn off the TV-Box, insert the SD card, press the recovery button and turn on the system. Once the TV-Box is updated, it is recommended to perform a factory reset.

That’s about it – you have successfully installed the latest update on your Probox2 air plus android TV. This is an amazing android TV that comes with octa core processor from Amlogic and 3GB RAM.

Android firmware upgrade for the Z28 android TV is available for download. This firmware is based on android 7.1 nougat and has load of enhancements built-in. There are two versions of Z28 – one comes with 2GB RAM and another comes with 1GB RAM which have 16GB and 8GB storage respectively.

To install the Z28 firmware, follow these instructions. Keep in mind that to upgrade the firmware, it is mandatory to use the USB OTG able with your PC.

First, you need to download the rockchip’s driver assistant v4.4 which is downloadable from here. You may also download the firmware for your 2GB Z28 or 1GB Z28. You will also need RK batch update tool and a windows PC with 7, 8 or 10 onboard.

Fire up the driver assistant to install driver for the Z28 android TV. If you get a windows security message, click on install. Then close the driver assistant and start the RK batch tool.

Click on the “…” and select the firmware that we downloaded earlier and connect your Z28 android TV to the computer. If the firmware does not have IMG extension, you will need to unzip it.

Now, click on the upgrade button to start the firmware upgrade process. It will only take a few moments to install the firmware.

The Z28 is a fairly popular android TV that comes with quad core ARM Cortex A53 processor backed by Mali 450mp2 graphics processing unit. This GPU is native H.265 and VP9 video decoding 4K @ 60fps support. Specifications include 2GB of RAM, 16GB  of internal storage eMMc and WiFi b / g / n with internal antenna. At the connectivity level, we have a USB 3.0 port as a novelty, an OTG 2.0 USB, microSD card reader, 10/100 network connector and an HDMI 2.0a port. It is currently on sale for 39 euro.

Yundoo Y8 firmware is available for download. Flashing the Yundoo Y8 firmware is easy. You can also use this process to hard reset it as flashing official firmware hard resets the android TV.  

Make sure to use the USB type-c port and then press the reset button that is hidden in the audio jack. Download the firmware from here and follow these instructions.

Download the rockchip driver assistant from here and install it on your computer. This is required so that the android TV is recognized by your computer.

Then download the rockchip rk batch tool. You will also need a USB type C cable.

After installing the driver, fire up the rk batch tool and click on the firmware button. Select the firmware download earlier. Make sure you have extracted it earlier to obtain the IMG file.

Hold the reset button of the Yundoo y8 android TV and then connect it to the computer. This update program will detect the device. You can now select the restore option to start the update process. After sometime, a green message showing success will appear on the screen.

You should now wait for 5-10 minutes for the system to complete the reboot process.

This android TV is powered by the RK3399 processor that comes with 4GB of DDR4 memory and 32GB of eMMC flash storage. You also get Wi-Fi ac in it with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.1.

Other connectivity ports include USB Type-C for data and power, a USB 3.0 port, SD card reader, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, Gigabyte network connector, 3 audio jacks, 5mm and SPDIF digital audio output.

Mecool BB2 Pro firmware is now available. This android TV is powered by Amlogic processor that is based on ARM Cortex A53 architecture, 3GB of DDR4 RAM , 16GB of eMMc storage memory, Dual Band AC Wi-Fi with external antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. Graphics are handled by Mali-T820MP3 GPU and has support for 4k resolution natively.

You can download the firmware from here – it is about 533MB and can take some time to download if you are on a slow speed connection. Flashing instructions for downloading and installing the official Mecool BB2 Pro firmware are given below.

First, unzip the firmware file that you just downloaded. Copy the files to the root of the micro SD card. Now, turn off the Mecool BB2 Pro android TV and insert the microSD card into it. Press the recovery button and turn on the TV.

This will start the updation process and the new firmware will be installed onto your Mecool BB2 Pro. We highly suggest to start afresh so for that go into settings > backup and find the option to do a factory reset.

It is also possible to do the update using USB flash drive. For that, copy the zip file onto USB drive and go to EXT > update from udisk > select the firmware ZIP file. In case, you do not need to extract files. When the firmware update completes, make sure to wipe data, cache and then reboot system.

Firmware for the A5X PLUS Mini android TV firmware is available for download. This is latest firmware that is based on android 7.1 nougat. To install it, you will have to download Rockchip drivers and RK batch tool. For upgrading, any windows PC with 7, 8 or 10 will work. You will also a microUSB cable to connect your android TV to the computer. Follow these steps.

Download RK driver assistant from here. Start it and click on install driver. If you get a security message, click on Install button to proceed and it will install the driver needed to connect your A5X Plus mini android TV to the computer. Close it and disconnect your android TV.

Download and start RKBatchTool. Download the official 7.1 firmware from here. Click on firmware button in RKbatchtool. Select the file bearing .img extention. Now hold the reset button of A5X PLUS Mini and connect it to the computer. Click on restore button and it will start downloading the firmware to the android TV.

It will take a while to install the firmware as a lot of files are overwritten. It will also delete any data stored on it so make sure you back the data up before doing any kind of upgrade.
